So after seeing what the FF4 translation team accomplished, I'm wondering if someone has messed around with Leslie's skin to remove Nintendo's censorship.

actually I have to agree with the OP's request but only for the fact that I hate pointless censorship. I never understood why in the states people are fine shoving violence down a kid's throat but sex is treated like its evil. For Pete's sake, sex is natural, beheading someone is totally not.

Its not that its natural though, they are doing what would appear to be Politically or Morally correct

Politically or morally by who's standards? The problem with the United States is that you have a "certain group" who is always "hoopin and hollerin" about how their moral standard is the end all/be all of moral standards yet they fail to realize that there are many other people in this country that don't share their same views. I'm not saying that excessive sex or violence is good but in the case of "violence vs. sex" I believe that sex is less harmful. The only reason people "fear' sex so damn much is because they are afraid of "intimacy". With violence the only things you deal with is the protection of yourself and maybe anger which sadly, for our soecies is easier to bring about. With sex, sex brings about intimacy which brings on trust and other deeper emotions that frankly these days people are too damn scared to deal with for fear of being hurt.

Sex is less intimate then ever, and continues to decrease. These days most people have sex to feel good, not be intimate with someone.
As far as censorship of nudity goes, there really is very little point to it. Seeing a naked body isn't harmful in the slightest.
It doesn't happen because, as you said, people love to complain. So developers save themselves the headache and just censor things.

Violence is censored for the same reason, but upscale the amount of bitching by about 500x. Idiots can't wrap their head around the fact that videogames don't promote violence. If someone does something bad, they already had an existing mental issue before playing whatever game supposedly influenced them. A game can give ideas however, but chances are a screwed up person would do something harmful regardless.

I have to agree with the 2 posts above, kind of.. except the less censorship and things the worse the world becomes. An example is music and the trend of violent films, and also the ease of access of them and sex (porn) to people of any age. The crime rate in both gang related and gangsta wannabees (music influenced) is more than 50x what it was just 40 yrs ago, the same as sex crimes, since the internet they have exploded, also things like serial killers, there are est. to be over 20 (some say a lot more) in the US alone, at any one time, unlike 20-30 yrs ago, where just one would be shocking and big news. There is no way films and Tv dont play a part in those statistics.

Like anything we need a balance, I think, between censorship and freedom, because unfortunately as total lack of censorship and other lack of laws in similar areas would be most peoples idealism, the fact is most people dont have the strength to morally guide their own actions, and any media-influenced ideas do certainly tip the balance for most, its simply 'human'..

I dont agree that everyone who commits violent crimes or violence in general (video game influenced or not) are all mentally ill, thats just silly, and naive. In fact, it could be argued that anyone who never considers violence, taking in mind we are animals and looking at the proof of our 'successful' evolutionary history, could be deemed the more abnormal, or mentally ill, which is essentially the same thing.. ;p

    my 2 cents anyway ..

Sorry to minimod, but stop straying from the topic, go in the General Discussion or something to discuss all of your views on censorship and whatnot.

And to comment on this discussion, cyanide, it's exactly the people like you that corporate companies choose to censor.

Even if it wasn't games that make people who they are, they have no choice but to censor so they're not to blame.

Thinking of killing someone doesn't make you mentally ill, it makes you human.
Commiting such acts means you have a differentiating issue in your mind, that allows you to commit something your fellow man would generally never do. Being mentally ill isn't what people generalize it as. If you are mentally ill, you could look perfectly fine and normal.

The only exception is when you are givin a reason to do such acts. Such as war. You are killing others with the mindset that you are protecting and helping your country, or an allied country, protecting it's people. The reason we are capable of this, is because a person of authority says it's ok. As humans we are VERY influenced by our peers, especially those in power. So someone says you're doing it as a just and right cause, and gives you permission, you can do it. Thus why it's one of the few exceptions of not needing to be mentally ill to do an act such as murder.

When did this discussion about getting some underboob in a game become some large ethics debate?

Fact of the matter is that there's no patch and odds are no one will bother making a work around. You'll have to live with a little less boob if you want to play this game in English. Boohoo, sorry.

    Lock and roll, please.

you could do a just replace the texture for her model. i'm no expert but you might be able to use SNEEK to replace it with the japanese model. Or maybe i misunderstood sneeks capabilities.

as for my earlier response I meant that to be humorous. If i got anyone's panties in a bunch, I sincerely apologize.
