I'm not doing a good enough job as Mod to be promoted D:
I hope you'll do better than me!

Edit:
It was a comment for April's fool joke where all users where admin (in case anyone read that wondering what we are talking about).

I got the game yesterday :)

I'll scan my 6 cards, even if they are already on the site.
I find the quality and color of the one currently on the site to be a little strange.

Now on the Console:

I tried to play with the card detection.

If you never scanned the card with the game's AR yet, it can't be recognized unless you don't mask the color code.
Once scanned by the AR program, you can hide the color code, it's recognized directly from the main card's design.

If you never scanned it, you can still make the card detected by masking the 2 color's form at the bottom left.
But masking any other doesn't work. (I didn't test one by one yet)
The bottom left has no informations (or at least no info on the character. Maybe it's used for battle's stats?).

The developer admitted that the AR recognition is using part of the image to detect the idol.

Using the idol browser on the game you can see that each card have an "icon" next to its name which is a part of the card's image.
I'm guessing that's the part it uses (if it's already saved on the game)...

EDIT: oh and I got my game too yesterday and already scanned all the cards on the site (some are hard to scan, but all the cards are scanable)
(some of them instantly recognized... I love how it zooms in and out, reminds me of Kinect)

I think the game recognizes the "tone/intensity" of the color, that's why cards in black and white works too.

Official Nintendo Magazine in the UK has a free promo pack of Kid Icarus cards this month.
The Promo Pack 1 pack I opened had these cards.

Three Sacred Treasures
Shemum
Hawkeye Bow
Poseidon Cannon
EZ Cannon
Sinistew

They are probably the same for all packs from the magazine.

Added some Euro cards from Pheelon and installed a new cache system because I received a message from my hosting that I'm using too much resources of the MySQL server..
I thought to myself "that was weird"..then I installed a stats plugin...after one minute i got 350 unique visits to the site...so I guess this site became popular...
So now the pages will update every hour...(I will reset the cache when I'll update the cards)

here are my 6 cards I just scanned.
http://www.mediafire.com/imageview.php?quickkey=aid4dooyhllc7hs

Feel free to resize and add them if you think they look better (I think they do) than the one currently on your site.

I didn't see it.
I rescanned and replaced it, please refresh.

I used my scan feature to remove the print's dots (descreen?), I think it looks better but may seems a little blurry instead.

I Updated the Famitsu cards to a higher resolution...
AKDJ-033,034,038,039,102,407
(These are the new ones with the Forces of Nature)

EDIT: I had a problem with updating the site...seems that none of my last updates were visible...now I fixed it..

EDIT2: all the scans so far (446 scans, ~60MB) http://www.mediafire.com/?1dtp3k0aj1ru1yh

if anyone is having trouble scanning the the cards with the 3ds load them onto your phone and it makes it much easier, i put them all on my Galaxy S 2 and had no trouble

I had an idea making an app for android...all the info is already there..
http://ar.essh.co/getdb-ki.php for an xml file of all the cards..
if akdp == 1 then http://ar.essh.co/images/ki/???-AKDP.jpg is available and so on...
really easy to make...if anyone is interested..
