The R4-III is a clone of the original R4 and as of such it doesn't contain anything new except for partial microSDHC support. Seeing as the R4 easily could be considered outdated I'd recommend you to read the reviews here on Gbatemp and reconsider your choice.

+1 for getting a different cart. The R4 requires many games to have the arm7 fix. And unfortunately arm7 fixing doesn't always work out so well since the right donor game is needed. For SDHC + price + functionality the TTDS (DSTT) is unbeatable. Note that you will need a SDHC compatible reader so you will want to get this combo instead.
