Gaming Anyone every try Second Life?

So I tried second life today and I gotta say... It's got to be the stupidest thing I've ever done. So tell me is there something I'm missing because from what I could tell there was like no social interaction what so ever. (not exactly my idea of fun)
So what can you do that is "fun" in this aimless world of pointlessness or is there another sim type massively online game?

It's supposed to be appealing to middle-aged people with jobs, a family, etc.
Not the type of game a teenage, hard-core gamer would enjoy, assuming that's what you are.

Even crippled can do better or else we'll end up like what happened in the movie "The Gamer" (anyone watched that one?)

That's pretty much a perfect take on Second Life.
In fact, I'm sure that's where they got the idea for that game.
