Hardware Anyone else annoyed that we need to pay for online multiplayer?

Single player is already ruined.
Just look at GTA 5.
Rockstar promised a fucktastic storyline, along with a big filled world.
Instead, we got a small city and the the Russian steppes to explore.
That + a short storyline.

COD these days just needs to have it from multiplayer (otherwise I'd won't be sold anymore)
And a lot of other games have short story lines.

I might be stuck in the early 6th gen.
Singleplayer yay <3

Yeah I know it's why I don't really play console much. I like games like COD on PC, most console games I play are RPGs, that don't make it to PC, some still have decent story lines IMO. I'm afraid this will just further put them away.

There is some hope tho, I think games like demon souls came up with a very innovative way to make a single player experience but still incorporate online play.

I dont know what you're talking about, the single player in GTAV is great. It's the perfect length. Hell I would even be willing to make it a bit shorter.

Story line was one of the best story lines in the franchise. The only negative was the heists felt tacked on.

But really, the world is modeled after Los Angeles. Maybe it isn't it like that over where you live, but it's a damn good representation of what it's like here.

Multiplayer development cost is included in game price isn’t it? Why should I pay the full price for that what I don't intend to use (or can't)? Particularly when online is no longer for free. They should make multiplayer part as DLC and give it for ps+ paying members therefore making fair price for single player.

Thus it becomes pointless as long as it is not the only way to do online (it is not) so I am going with why bother considering it, a line of action made all the more appealing by my not playing online games.

I am with you on that...I just hope even single player games don't become so innundated with online 'features' to make them unplayable offline. Just because they don't require online to play doesn't stop developers from handicapping offline play.

GTA V is a good buy but the single player is short and lacks something I can't put a finger on. The online is a blast until you buy an apartment and a car, then theres nothing left to do really.

I don't think most people mind, it means that the online will be a lot better, and with all the bonuses you get with PS+ I don't care.

it's annoying as ish but in the very least we'll be getting some games with the PS plus. and honestly if you buy the cards cheap it's not so bad. like gamestop is selling $30/yr cards. My internet is $60 a month so 30 seems like a drop in the bucket.


btw I will ask, does anyone who have PS4s know if it comes with a 30 day PS plus pass?
