Ended up buying a 3rd switch off CL and screwed it up in a different way (knocked off the wifi resistors on the left no wifi!)
but I went back yesterday and cleaned up my first mess with my new microscope. (attached photo from old scope)
I fixed the bridging on the adjacent chip but didn't reinstall the missing three components (10nf cap, 100k res, 4.7uf cap) I figured being that close to an M92T36 they had someething to do with USB-C and maybe it wouldn't charge or dock and I had already replaced the switch so why not give it a shot?
I installed a flashable hwfly (much easier and heck it was $12) reassembled the system and ... nothing appears wrong with it. It docks, It charges, it's running at a reasonable temperature.
So to my topic, What did they do? and How bad is it to run without them? I still haven't gotten the hang of 0201 components.
Thanks again,
Vic
