Firstly, I have a non-modded cIOS-installed Wii and update to 3.4U today.

After the upgrade I also have successfully installed two WiiWare with WAD-Manager 1.3.

When I wanted to use Any Region Changer to change the region(just change Language, Console Area, Game Region and Country Code without install any 3.2 upgrade), but it displays error code when starting this program. Though I can still enter the setting menu of ARC, it always warns there is dismatch no matter how I change the settings. I saved and rebooted, only to find an error message when executing the changes. So I abandoned and restarted Wii.

Then I came to realize that I could not install WAD with WAD-Manager 1.3. Every trial results in an error code "ret = -2011" and the program aborts.

Is there any way to solve this problem or should I just wait for the new release of Any Region Changer?

Seemingly the ARC doesn't work on v 3.4

I read something about it here: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=112945

Under WII fix guide

Thank you for the guide.

I've read it through but my problem is a little bit different.
I've already installed the newsest cIOS and WAD-Manager 1.3, and I DO able to install wad after the upgrade to 3.4.

But things change after I run ARC.

Need I reupdate my wii or reinstall cIOS?

It is said in the guide that the ARC doesn't work correctly with wii menu 3.4 (which you have). If you want to use it to change your region, I suggest downgrading to 3.2 first, and use the ARC afterwards.

here some more info:
to downgrade: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=118446 follow preparation and steps 1,2 (step 2 choose your own region (U))
about the ARC: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/AnyRegion_Changer

Be careful if you want to use the ARC!!

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze

    Booo.

same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.

Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
