Seriously, I just want to know if someone can crack the 3DS 11.0 Firmware. Just find a way to get NAND access, without HARDMOD or DSiWareHax, so that I can just dump my nand.bin, edit it, and then restore it. Yeah, if that's possible, downgrading won't be an issue.

Note: I already know that there must've been a ton of posts on this topic, still, for the heck of my satisfaction, I'm posting this thread. Negative comments will most likely be disappreciated.

There are some people working on some exploit, but even if they crack it they will not release it until at least the next firmware update, to prevent it from being patched.

Wait until a ARM9 exploit is found by a dev and decide whether they want to publicly release their workings. All it takes is patience

How is anyone supposed to know when? Will it happen at some point: probably, do we know when that point will be NO.

Please think about what you ask, like for instance would others know this. Your question this is clearly not the case.

Ps. Your question is more disappreacitaed than any negative comment could ever be.

People asking questions like this like we are psychic on here.

This reminds me of this thread. OP, you're treading the line between asking and begging.
Edit: it also reminds me of this thread. I hope you see what I'm getting at here, OP.
Anyway, the reason we can't get NAND access. It needs an arm9 exploit, put simply. Arm9 is the processor that has direct read/write access to the NAND. Only by taking it over can we dump the NAND.
With two exceptions- hardmod and dsiwarehax. A Hardware Modification is literally soldering some stuff to your NAND to read it out on a computer. Obviously, this requires no kinds of exploits on the software side. Dsiwarehax works because DSiware originally had full NAND access. When designing the 3DS, Nintendo was lazy and did the same, including 3DS mode NAND. Therefore, taking over DSi mode is enough to dump the NAND. The problem is, DSiware saves are stored on the NAND. This means we can't install the hacked save without an arm9 exploit (hardmod won't work since it's encrypted). We get around this by installing the hacked save on a CFW 3DS, then doing a system transfer.

Whoa...... So, for those who said the exploit will not be released till there is another firmware update, I'm sorry to say that I don't think Nintendo will ever release a new update. And that's because they've got other things to concentrate on, besides updating the 3DS (for example - NX). Those who said 5 hours and all 'a' that crap, it's my misfortune that you people responded to my post. And for the hopes that are building up for a public release of the A9Lhax (for 11.0), I say that whoever actually is working on it should release it, 'cause I don't think Nintendo will release a firmware update...

Anyways, I'll wait, maybe till 2017....

There is some expectation of one being released for sun and moon's launch. Even then, it has been announced that Nintendo will continue to make releases for the 3DS until 2017/18, so I would say the odds of at least one firmware update before the end of the 3DS's life is pretty big.

Isn't really smart, because if you fail to downgrade, you'll have to upgrade to 11.1.

It's not like waiting until the next firmware update will "preserve" the exploit, the 3DS is confirmed to be going on until at LEAST 2018.

And this is why nobody has given out his Twitter. Because people like you who cant even spend like 5$ on a Dsi game will spam him until he wont release it like ever. Pls just be patient and dont flood the forum with those kind of threads. I mean what did you even expect? "hurr durr is there hax and warez for ma ds" "yes sure contact him and him, they didnt want to publish it at first but after seeing that you need it he changed his mind"

tl;dr just wait or get a hardmod period

You missed the part where you require another hacked 3DS.

    Interesting lol

I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.

cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding
    +1

When I played Cyberpunk on my old 2080 Ti it sucked lol

AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that

least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling

They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow

Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle by your girlfriend because she has a twin sister, and you got confused and fucked her dad?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways
