Hacking Answer from the EDGE TEAM about the 1.4.1 Firmware

Because the solution is simple, they just need another game to creat the "bupdate.bin"

So what are they waiting for, to doing this?!

Seriously bitonio, stop whining. Everyone understands your point, but what you're doing, and telling other Edge users to do, is utterly pointless. As Pharaohsvizier said and explained, it's pointless. Buy yourself an R4 if you have a DSL, or an Acekard2i or anything around 15 dollars that's nice for the DSi. If you know, you don't want to buy something too pricy.

you know what? i think EDGE team MIGHT not release any updates. because if you can recall iedge was released when update 1.4U is there right? so people might think that the iEDGE got a fix for 1.4U but instead we got a iEDGE 1.4U version cart and it is not updatable... you get my point guys? in short we bought a R4 that works for 1.4U and not on 1.4.1 in order for iEDGE to work on 1.4.1 we need to buy a NEW iEDGE 1.4.1

iEDGE is upgradable. They updated the bootstrap from v1 to v2 to solve Korean DS Lite issues.

Main thing is that v2 bootstrap was released along with an OS update. So unless TeamCyclops releases a stable update for CycloDS (EDGE team uses their updates), don't expect a bootstrap update.

Well the good news is they are not dead..
The main site just updated, and they promises compatibility updates and 1.4.1 support..
The bad news is we have to wait at least a week (or 2-3)..
Oh well, at least everyone will happy in the end..

New answer from today:

The EDGE Team are currently working on a bootstrap fix for DSi firmware 1.4.1
and an update to enhance compatibility with recent games.
Expect a release within the next 2-3 weeks.

They react, no so fast, but is a first reaction!!!

Being patient really pays off. I'd rather they took the time and did a good job and fix a lot of stuff rather than rush it and have a ton of stuff not work or hit & miss compatibility. I like it just as much as my Cyclo DS card.

Probably because I just don't care! I have a cyclo for my DS Lite and and Iedge for my DSI XL and they work withe 99% of everything I have. I have'nt updated my DSI XL and 99% of the games that Nintendo has for downloading "DSIWare" is mostly crap, so there really is no need for the upgrade. Sure it would be nice... but when they get to it, they'll get to it, and if not I can always go buy another card that does work but I'm in no real need to do that. I just don't care... sorry. Cards aren't really that much anymore anyhow, you can get one for half the price of a game cart. Hell I eat that much for breakfast in a week. Now I'm starting to ramble. Hmmmm breakfast, cart, breakfast, cart, breakfast, cart, I think I'll go for breakfast.

Sorry but if you upgrade your DSi XL or if you buy new one, your iEDGE will not work at ALL
so, it is not 99% we are talking about but "0%" !!!

And with how you think, nobody need upgrade, release, etc...

This is great. I dont even own an iEDGE but knowing that they are there and are doing something is great. And I hope they release normal EDGE firmware 1.12 soon and fix some issues such as sound problems on "certain games". Yeah pokemon im looking at u.
