Hey guys, sorry to post another galaxy topic, but i'm kinda looking forward playing that.

So, i have 3.1U firmware and the wiikey update 1.9g.

I've burned Mario Galaxy with the update, but during it it stopped progressing, so i ejected the disk in the middle of the update.

Then, the wii stopped reading that disc.

I brickblocked the disc twice/, is there any problem with it? I forgot to do i backup, have i fucked up my iso?

I've already burned other 2 discs with the brickblocked iso, none of them reads (Unable to read disc). They don't even show mario in the game channel.

Other games work fine.

i have a 3.1U with 1.9g update, however do not use brick blocker to remove the update. just burn a normal copy of SMG and let it run a short update of the game, then it restarts and its going to work.

p.s. if you messed up the iso, just delete it and extract again, then burn the unmodified version of the game

I download my stuff from ntorrents, so i have only the iso.

Is it really lost? Does brickblocking twice deleted something that is not suposed to be deleted on the iso?

I don't see why doing it would ruin the iso.

hehe yea what brick blocker does it removes any updates on the game so it doesn't brick your wii, now to run SMG the update needs to RUN, since you (i'm assuming) stripped out the update the game won't run, i'm not sure if there is a way to returning the iso to its original state but i doubt it

i used brick blocker too, but those dvd's are just costers now, however it was easier for me because i had the iso backed up so i could just re-burn it and it worked

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
