Well, they released two public betas, why not a 3rd.

Gateway firmware 2.0, codenamed “OMEGA”, has landed for our loyal beta testers and soon for the common public and endusers to enjoy.

They would copy it, but GW implemented anti-clone measures this time, like being REQUIRED to put in the GW card to load up Gateway Mode

More info: The bug that occurs when switching to 3D in the menu still occurs, one of the two screens will just display a light brown background.

Eh couldn't the clones get around that somehow? Either way it looks like the FPGA update will be the real thing to stop clones, unless they could do that too.

More info: The bug that occurs when switching to 3D in the menu still occurs, one of the two screens will just display a light brown background.

I highly doubt they'll ever fix that. They pull the frame buffer data before the logo is even displayed and never update it.

also you can still play games that you wrote using the win32 disk imager technique, they get detected as a raw mode game

Copied save from SD card to micro SD and re-named it and that works

Guess the long delay really was because of additional DRM implementation. Not that I'm judging

I actually gave myself an April deadline and was about to purchase the MT Card, but ended up ordering the Gateway 2 minutes ago. Nice timing there, although Gateway could have earned a few more customers with better updates.

It seems my guess of Gateway 2.0 being released "on the day Metro line 4 launches" has been correct. (here in Budapest, there's a phrase about subway line 4, planned since 1972, which started up today, "when Metro 4 launches", meaning "never")

Looks like I grabbed it just in time. Not that it won't be all over the internet in about five minutes. Anyways, the thought of testing this out gets me all excited and tingly, but I dooon't knoooow ... I sure hope it doesn't have any kind of countdown to brick or anything like that, because if it does, I'm taking everyone down. Gateway, Sorox, EVERYONE. Hmm they actually have a new copy protection method. If you try to boot into gateway mode without a gateway card it stops you and wont let you proceed
