Love this editor! The only thing is I wish there was icons on the editor map to show you where villagers houses are & buildings etc but I guess not everything is possible! :P But still fab work! And a big thanks from me! :D

I like this idea and all, but this game is meant for being legit.

That's up to the users choice. I used it to unlock PWP (because thats pure randomness), to plant bamboo in the river and to be able to move unmoveable PWPs. I think these hacks enhance the game, instead of breaking it.

I was wondering if someone could help with an issue I've been having with hex editing my garden.dat files. Every time I make a change, the save data is corrupted and I'm not sure why. I've hex edited my acnlram files successfully dozens of times and am familiar with how it works. I know that the locations are different from the ones listed in the RAM spreadsheet, so I was careful in changing the values (I was just trying to change minor things like switching out villager shirts). Does anyone know what's causing the problem?

The checksums are not fixed.
Just open it with any ACNL editor and re-save.

Also, be careful with the secure NAND value.

I'm working on my own editor that currently does this. The reason that it probably doesn't exist in Marc's editor and possibly won't be implemented (at least soon), is because of the way that the maps are drawn on the page. I believe it uses a grid system over a canvas, so it's chunk-cell based. In other words, there's no room for text or a marker significant enough to display where buildings would be, while also not blocking out items. You have to choose: Item(s) / Building. My solution to this issue, would be for Marc to create a separate tab, just like town & island, that paints in the building locations with a single solid color which marks the building bounds, and implement a click&drag feature. No need to guess coordinates, the point for buildings will always be where the entrance door is.

Does this works with 10.3 on Homebrew Launcher?

It doesn't matter what homebrew version you use. Homebrew doesn't play into this at all. As long as you can dump your save file somehow, you can use the editor.

Just a quick question... Since hacking I have noticed my mayor character no longer receives mail from villagers etc but my other characters in game do? Does anyone know how I can fix this? Sorry if it's been posted before!
Thanks!

Thanks!

Did you change your mayor name or town name by any chance?
