#6 requires editing the ROMFS files and either using HANS or a rebuilt ROM.
#3 - these are in the editor, you just have to know the names of the items, for example many are "24-hour shop...".
#5 and 7 are possible with RAM editing so should be doable in an editor in the future.

Thank you for helping, but I couldn't find 7-11 items, I dont know if I missed it, but I tried to search 24-hour, lemme check again,
Ok, just checked, I get only 4 items. I think theres more?[/QUOTE]

Get the exact number of bell you have in the bank.
Hex edit garden.dat, searching for the exact number.
If the number is shown in the file multiple times, write a note with the different locations.
Change the bell amount a little.
Search in the previous locations if the new number equals someone.
Change these numbers to 0.

I have not tried it, but this is the way I would do it. Always have a backup.

Wrong quote :P

I did try this and it doesn't work that way. Using HxD's compare feature I was able to find the bytes modified by the "max bank" option but I cannot determine how they calculate the bank value.

To cross-post what I did discover, the player 1 bank seems to be stored from offset 6C08-6C13 in "garden.dat". The bytes inserted by the editor are "72 27 B1 21 78 56 F9 8C 36 86 11 0D". To provide some possibly more unhelpful information, the same bytes in my game are "17 AB F1 E6 95 EF 40 0F BD EB 04 8D" and my balance is exactly 100,000,000.

Hey, I screwed up and injected in the wrong acnl.bin file (it was the .bin file of my other game). I've started a new town and everything, and I dumped the new game into the SD card, but it's still showing up as the old one that I injected earlier. I'm aware of the "cheat-protection" and I'm wondering if there's a way around it. If not then rip me I guess; if there is a way to fix this, please help.
dear god, i'm an idiot.

Assuming you are using the editor with a savegame backup (garden.dat), you can fix this using the editor. Make a new save backup (garden.dat). Open the editor but load your older garden.dat. Go to the Advanced tab. Click "Update it using your latest savegame" and select the newer garden.dat. You should now be able to inject your old garden.dat and use it without error.

If no backup? you are ded.

Aaaactually I have a question.
How can I change the name of my town?
In HxD or any hex editor use the replace option and convert your town's name to hexadecimal and the name you want to hexadecimal and replace it.

Ah, but my town name is the same as one of my characters names..
Ah well, i'll change em both, I never use that character anyway.
Thanks!

Anyone know a good tutorial of how to do this with hombrew?

use SVDT to dump your acnl save, use FTP or put your SD card into a computer, navigate to directory 'savegameBackups', extract garden.dat, use editor & save back to garden.dat, put garden.dat back into the 'savegamebackups' folder, go to homebrew SVDT, inject save, and play.

It's very simple
