Now I'm thinking that it will probably not work :-( Now I remember all players and museum rooms are also in the RAM (besides the RAM savegame) and they are probably copied over to the RAM savegame as the current player house :-( But let's give it a try, crossing fingers!

I'm having exactly the same problem, although I haven't got round to experimenting with coordinates yet. In my map editor, I only have one dock and one island bin, could this mean that maybe Kapp'n and his boat move at the same time? Something I can suggest for the 2nd question: Check the coordinates for the dock and island bin in your backup ram files, and see what they are in relation to each other? My island bin is 39,78 and my dock is 38,86, so you could add small adjustments until you get them in the right place.

Hey sorry if I'm replying late! I figured this out back when I posted it but since i didn't get a reply I didn't know if I should post the result...

On the RAM Editor program there are 3 'buildings' that stand for the dock and Kapp'n. They are: Island Storage Bin (the dock itself) and 'dock' (notice that there are 2 docks on this list, and they both stand for Kapp'n).

Here are my coordinates for the dock and 'storage bin' I moved.
Dock buildings:::::::: X: 31, Y: 84
Island Storage Bin::: X: 32, Y: 76

Remember there are TWO buildings named 'dock' on the RAM Editor, you need to make both the SAME coordinate!

Now, notice how the dock buildings are 1X lower than the Island Storage Bin, but 8Y higher. This should most likely be the shared difference in coordinates for all docks (I think so at least!). I noticed that if I moved these coordinates around but kept the difference (the 1X and the 8Y) everything stayed together.

Hey everyone! I'm back again with a BIG question!!!

So I have NO idea what happened. I opened my game and everything was fine. Then I injected and everything was fine (I was changing where some trees were). Then when I saved my game crashed! Now every time I try to open the game it won't open! I don't know how to fix this or what happened at all.

Yes, I've tried changing the acnlram.bin file with an earlier save but the game still won't open. What should I do??? I'm worried I bricked my game but I have absolutely no idea how this would've happened

Don't panic! This has happened to me as well! Did you make a back-up save (through Leaftools) before editing? This is always recommended, because there's always a risk of corrupting your save data. If you made a back-up, click on the game and press ABXY at the same time to delete your previous data, go through the initial mayor process, and restore your save which should be called mori.bin, NOT acnlram.bin. Or the next solution would be injecting your dream town if you didn't back it up. What were all the changes you made before saving and quitting?

I made a save backup with LeafTools a while ago (as in 2+ saves ago), does that count?? I also have about 4 different save backups on my computer from different saves with my acnlram.bin files. The last thing I tried on my save file was I loaded my game like normal (stepped out of my house, etc regular loading intro screen) and then I injected a with RAM Editor like usual to add some new trees to my walkway near a river (not sure if this was the issue or not but i'd been fine before this). But whenever I saved after this it wouldn't load the game anymore (like the train icon would come up a few times then I'd get an error).

I'm really worried I ruined my game but I'm really confused since I was very careful and never did a lot during every save.

Is there really going to be a new format for the ram dumper/injecter? I am still on the right firmware, 9.5.0-22U, but I wanted to know if you can make the editor work with powersaves because I think powersaves backs up everything in the savedata.

Welp, the game still won't load. I've tried the ABXY thing (I never get a prompt asking for me to delete my save data, it just crashes while loading like it has been).

I'm not sure what else to do. I've tried all of the different acnlram.bin files I saved and that doesn't make a difference. I also tried deleting NL in settings but that didn't do anything.

I'm pretty sure my copy is messed up :/ like, beyond fixing messed up since I've tried a bunch of stuff. I'd buy a new copy but I'm afraid I'd spend the money and then it'd magically work again or the new copy would mess up too. *sigh* I'm kinda mad it stopped working from me doing something super simple that I'd done a bunch before. I really don't know what could've gone wrong.

Hold down the button from the beginning, you start the game and directly you hold down ABXY like 10 seconds, it should works

I don't think that your game is gone for good. There's probably another way to do it, but keep trying and I'll look into this. I'm using a MAC. I'll send you the RAM file. I've tried the ABXY method so many times today and it doesn't work, the game just keeps crashing after the train starts 'rolling'. I've tried holding down the buttons at different times, but still it doesn't give me a prompt it just crashes.
