Do fruits or patterns on the ground count against your town rating? Isabelle said that my town has to much garbage on the ground and I can't find any.

Pretty sure fruit counts. I had the same message, so I picked up all the loose fruit, and now I don't get the "garbage" message.

I'm now almost certain patterns count then, as after I got rid of all the ground fruit and I'm still getting the message. You've seen my town, it's got to be the patterns.

Tons of perfect towns have patterns everywhere, it can't be the patterns...
I also have paths throughout my entire town and I dont have a garbage message.

how do you guys buy so much expensive stuff!? where does THAT much money come from lol

Since yesterday, I got about 30k bells and I thought I was amazing

Since yesterday, I got about 30k bells and I thought I was amazing
Only started yesterday btw.

Most people use the island, but i only got that today (6 days in) early game tips that i used to make money:

- shake tree's, honey bee drops and you can avoid the bee's by walking into a house (but if they sting you so be it) they sell for 500 at re-sale each.
- Visit other people's towns and exchange fruit and sell fruit at higher price
- Collect shells on beach, if you're lucky you can get 3000, save and quit, load back up and bam, shells are there again. Rinse, repeat.
- Those wide green butterflies (raja b or w/e) sell for alot, if you see those. Snag em.
- Talk to all the villiages, sometimes they give you quests and items, item you dont need = sell.
- Hit all rocks with shovel, they can drop nuggets OR it will drop a coin, keep hitting it if it drops a coin (like a mario ? box) it will keep dropping money that gets bigger the more times you hit it, if you pause between hits then you miss the chance, its possible to get around 10k if you hit it everytime.
- Fish. xD

- If you need a fishing rod or Net, i have both in my re-sale atm. Just give me a reply and ill open gate for you to buy em (500 each)

i planted so many trees, if only 2/3 of them grow, I will end up with tons of fruits

Still looking for more fruits
(coconuts and bananas. Do i have to plant coconut near the beach?)
