Do not plant them side by side with rivers and lakes. It needs to be at least one space far than it. U can count the space using your shovel as one hole counts for one space.
That rule also is the same for rocky terrain, cliffs ,trees and obstackes like buildings.

I've heard this a lot. but on AC: WW I planted trees next to each other to conserve space..I got the odd withering sapling, but most of them survived..

Btw, be thankful that you don't have Resetti. God I wish I could destroy the Reset Surveillance center. XD
... Then again, itdoesn't feel like Animal crossing without him. Sometimes, I love pissing off and resetting the game repeatedly. When he wanted me to apologize, I kept cussing words and pissed him more off. Sometimes he even resets the game. XD
There was an old rumor in the Gamecube version that if you reset a number of times, Resetti will make every villager move out of your town.

Must be the bad cell reception I have while visiting my mother. (Some problem with animal crossinging and the router. Other online games works fine while connected to the router, so now I use my phone as a hotspot)

Sorry, I can't XD. You're gonna have to wait till those trees grow up. Which is... 4 days... I think...
After that, you can harvest those fruits to make more trees of them.
Now as for your peaches. Those trees can produce perfect fruits since peaches are your native fruits.
DO NOT sell them yet. Plant them, make as many perfect fruit trees as you can, but be careful, perfect fruit trees are fragile can can die if y harvest them too much and the fruits will die... Scary isn't it?
