I haven't tried anything yet, but is it true we have "moving pocket starting points" depending on how many local users are on the same island?

So, its AD3C7FD8 if I am alone, but that will change if I have 2 local players and be different if I have 3 or 4 others on the island?
I read over @Elsen 's post and also @MyShiLingStar 's post, as a couple others, and am confused.

I have two switches and one has 4 players and the other has 3, so I hope this is not true, but if it is, has this been sorted out yet?

So....
Is it still as normal as it always has been?
Or does player 1 take over the position of the number of players (i.e. p1 takes p4's slots if there are 4 players) and then p2-p4 all shift back one? (possible?)
Or does every player shift up slots by the # of players? (odd as that would leave a ton of empty starting slots)
Or something else completely? (i.e. random based on some unique id of your switch? - OMG I hope not that complex)
