Gaming Animal Crossing City Folk Not Working?

When I load the disc using disc channel, the intro in the channel starts, but it remains a black screen when I press start. It loads fine when I use it in the backup loader, but the wi-fi won't connect (other channels using wifi can connect).

Other games load with the disc channel, so is this a disc issue?

EDIT: O.o It was just able to connect. Is this an issue with my softmodded Wii with 3.2?
