Gaming Animal crossing Cheats Not Working

Hey i gt Animal crossing rom but the cheats arent working when i select a cheat then save it.... firstly its saving file takes long like it starts from 1 to 10 then a to z... you know what m saying...
then when i save then boot the game it shows black screen...then it says there ...everyother game with cheat works but not this one.......i dont know why...
plzz help...

most flash cart that i know of will not be able to handle the cheats for animal crossing

the exceptions are:-
r4 is one of the cart that can handle the cheats better
or
acekard + latest akaio

elixir, I have an Acekard 2 with the AKAIO loader and no cheats seem to work with either 1.0 or 1.1? Do you have any idea why?
