Gaming Ambassador Question

Guys,

I have a 3DS with ambassador that i bought at day one, but i'm thinking of buying another 3DS and sell the one i have (Zelda version).

Is it possible to pass the ambassador status to the new 3DS?

Yes, I have heard that Nintendo will lauch a program that will allow users to pass their data from a 3DS to a 3DS LL, but I think that you can already do that with two 3DS.

3ds system transfer option should work

system A(old system) ->system B(new system)

when you do it
system B should have everything that was on system A
and
system A is 100% formated

It works. I had to replace my 3DS and I kept all of my ambassador games and the ambassador e-shop account.

Nintendo's site said you can only do it 3 times but they may have increased the number of times allowed since I read it. Might want to double check first.

Just do a system transfer and all will be moved over. I transferred my ambassador status from my day one 3DS to a Zelda 3DS.

@Pong20302000 and @[member='syfyTy'], It's actually 7 times, but I think that person won't keep buying 3DS's at every redesign (which still makes 7 impossible). (Source: The 3DS Handhelds themselves.)

I'm very tempted to sell my Mario DSi XL in the near future and get a 3DS XL..

Thanks. That totally sucks. I should have done my research and imported a US model to take with me. I'm not strong enough to not buy an XL, so this system is in effect bricked and unsellable where I am!!!

With regards to the transfer limit (since it was brought up), if Nintendo replaces a unit that can't be repaired, does that transfer count towards the total limit?

I guess Nintendo has way better environments for that, but I can't confirm this for 100%.
