Hacking Am i missing any files in my R4 cart with YSMenu ?

Hello. I just installed YSMenu in my R4 flashcart (i have the original one). I followed every steps from the instruction. When i loaded my flashcart in my DS Lite, it said "_DS_MENU.DAT is missing" . Good thing i made a backup. So i took the _DS_MENU.DAT file and put it in my microSD card. It looks like it is working now. So my question is, do i need the other files from my backup or am I ok with just the _DS_MENU.DAT file?

    and it runs off of a potentiometer so it doesn't get 12V

    reason being is the 12V motor parks the wipers in the wrong place every time
