Am I trying to get scammed here?

Is this normal? Wtf is going on here. I didn't block out the shipping address because it looks so fake to me. There isn't even a state listed on it.

It sounds like the latest Ebay policy where they hold funds for upto 21 days or good feedback is left from the buyer.

If the message is in your ebay messages then it's legit. (Log into Paypal and see what the status of the payment is)

And yes their policy sucks.

If you are a new seller, then they hold your funds until the buyer leaves positive feedback. Thing is, the person who bought it from you put a fake address on his Paypal account (Idk why?) so you are in a weird situation. Contact the buyer and tell him to update his Paypal address to be correct and tell him to confirm it. If he gives you his "real" address without updating it and getting it confirmed, do not ship the item. If you do not ship to a confirmed address, you are not covered by Paypal's seller protection. Meaning he can open a dispute and have the charges reversed, him ending up with the item and the cash.

This is my second sale, and my first one was when I had 0 feedback, so this is weird.
That's most likely cause this one is over 100$. Was the first one less than this one?

Yeah, it was under $100. I'm going to await an email from PayPal

That's strange... In my first eBay transaction I sold a $280 GPS unit and PayPal didn't hold my money from me.

Maybe because DSs are more likely to be scam auctions then GPS auctions or something... eBay is ridiculous sometimes

-------------------------
What is a phishing email?
-------------------------
Phishing emails attempt to steal your identity and will often ask you to
reveal your password or other personal or financial information. PayPal
will never ask for your password over the phone or in an email and will
always address you by your first and last name.

Take our Fight Phishing Challenge at
https://www.paypal.com/fightphishing to learn # things you should know
about phishing. You'll also see what we're doing to help fight fraud
every day.

-------------------------
You've made a difference.
-------------------------
Every email counts. By forwarding a suspicious-looking email to
[email protected], you've helped keep yourself and others safe from
identity theft.

Thanks,

The PayPal Team

Wtf! The email never asked me for any shit like passwords and stuff! And the email addressed me by my first and last name! Wtf!

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze

same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.
  • Veho @ Veho:
There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
