Hacking All flashcarts that automatically boot to the menu will NOT work with

You see, since the features like the built in camera, DS Ware, and the SD card support are on the DSi main menu, that means flashcarts like the R4 will not work with the DSi. I'm sorry to say this, but the only flashcart I know of that will work is the CycloDS. It does not automatically go into the main menu like the other flashcarts do. Plus the other flashcarts are getting outdated anyways. What's your response to this?

there are quite a few OFFICIAL ds cards that boot directly as well... (eg. ds download stations)
booting directly is an official feature, triggered by just a flag in the rom header...
so i don't see why this would make the difference for working/non-working

Maybe I'm just dense, but I really don't see a problem. What does cameras, DS Ware, and SD support have to do with flashcarts? DS/DSLite also has a menu with features that can only be used from the menu itself. Theres no difference from the DSi when it comes to having/lacking a menu.

Of course, I'm not saying that carts like the R4 will be usable, but saying that it won't work only because of the new features is pretty dumb in my opinion.
