I let my nephew on my console in emuNAND mode using the camera etc. Some how all my CIA games and theme packs have been deleted, all my saves are still visible via BBB .3ds. I'm confused.

It was in Gateway mode I left him, but for I know could have gone back in to sysNAND. Also I'm not even signed in to be able to use eShop.

He must have accessed data management in the console def whilst in SysNand. This deletes all your CIAs and the SAVES.

You need to know if they are linked or not. You have some more reading to do.

Did you enable parental controls before you handed your hacked console over to a child?

then the sysnand and emunand are linked. You need to format sysnand in order to unlink them and avoid future hazards.

My guess is that your nephew went into system settings/eShop while in emunand, kicking him back to sysnand and went into data management.

From what I've heard, sysnand deleted the CIAs because they didn't have tickets not because they weren't legit. That's because you haven't unlinked your sysnand from emunand. You really need to think about doing that if you want to avoid this happening again.

your cias dont get deleted if you go to emunand data management? i thougt that was the forbidden fruit for cias in both

No, they only get deleted when sysnand and emunand are linked (i.e. both are using the same folder on the SD) and you enter data management in sysnand which will recognize all cias installed via emunand as invalid

Thanks guys. Cleared things up for me. He won't be using my hacked console anymore :) no harm done by him as he didn't have a clue only being 5.

Your choice but I would be fine handing a 5 year old my hacked console provided I had parental controls turned on and did just a little bit of training. I also wouldn't let a 5 year old loose on my PC logged in as Admin. :)

That's true, I don't have any settings on as it's the first time his used it. Therefore I had no idea this would/could happen but now it has I am aware of what can happen.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
