Hacking AKAIO 1.8.1 help ):

I upgraded my Acekard to AKAIO 1.8.1 and the AR cheats that I put on my games before aren't working at all. Can someone tell me how to get them to work please?

Update the cheat database?
If you deleted your whole folder, then your cheat file is missing.

Re-enable the cheats?
I think it was 1.8.0 that changed how cheats were handled (no more .cc files).

Well how do I do that? The only way to put cheats on the game is if the game already has cheats and I paste them into the folder. ):

You have USRCHEAT.DAT in your \__aio\cheats folder?
It's not named something else like CHEAT.DAT?

Then are the games patched or modified in any way?
If they are, you need to add that games ID to the cheat file and then add the codes under the game.

Is it possible to just downgrade? My friend is having a lot of trouble with his. Like all of his games keep crashing.

You (or your friend) might want to try starting fresh...

Copy all your files to the PC, then format with the Panasonic SD Formatter.
Get a new copy of AKAIO 1.8.1 and extract the AKMENU4.NDS and __AIO folder to your MicroSD.
Copy any games, homebrew and skins back to your MicroSD card.


AKAIO 1.8.1 has worked flawlessly for me.
But if you want to downgrade, just delete the __AIO folder and AKMENU4.NDS and copy whatever version you want.

Well I'm gonna try that. But my friend is just very unsatisfied so I'm just gonna downgrade his. Lol
