Hacking AKAIO 1.2 Released

edit: You know what I thought just now would be cool... an option for a recently used list at top. I usually cycle through games, so I'll only be playing a handful at any particular time. With a list, I wouldn't have to scroll everytime, especially if it's at the bottom

The plugins are awesome!

Don't get rid of them - or at least, if you get rid of Bliss' then please code your own. I love being able to play mp3's, videos and open .txt 's without loading up some other program (which cannot then be reset out of).

gelu's loader has a 'favorites' folder for your most used files,

and so does The 1.3beta of AKAIO, if you can find it



...another thing you can do is add a "-"(dash w/o the quotes) in front of the name of the file you want launched (-xxx.nds)
and it will be at the top of your list.

also, to make a file go to the bottom of you list add a "_" (_xxx.nds)

1.3 doesnt have the favorites folder, i really should add it in sometime though. Only thing is it'll essentially replace the shortcut.

Hi gbatempers, got a quick question. in the ak2loader folder. what files do i put in it? i tried puttin another rev of the akmenu4.nds in the folder. when i select it to load a certain game in the menu. it just crashes. do i have to put the other loaders system files into the ak2loader folder? in my case the __ak2 system folder into the ak2loader too?

No, you just put "akmenu4.nds" from any version of the official menu into the "ak2loader" folder (I rename "akmenu4.nds" to something like "AK2_4.10.nds" so that I can have more than one). There is an option that you need to set in the "Start -> properties -> ROM info" menu that specifies which loader you want to use for a particular ROM. Note that you must still have the "akmenu4.nds" file that comes with AKAIO on the root of your microSD card.

Are there any problem games that seem to only work with the official AK2 loader?

Games that work with the official loader should work just fine with AKAIO by putting the official loader in the "ak2loader" folder and changing the loader setting for those games.

And zipping all SAVs into a file? Why bother. if you're on a PC just make a batch file for "copy *.sav c:\I'mtooLazyToBackupThingsMySelf\"

the ak2 loader works because the rom names are tranfsered the same way. the rpg works differently thats why you can't add multiple rpg loaders. as for b1.3, yes the official ak2 loader still works in the "ak2loader" folder. support for rpg loaders *might* be included soon... did i just let a secret out?

Using the akaio loader, pokemon game music slows down when saving, is there anyway of fixing this or will it be fixed in the new version of akaio?
