Yes. If the game is not listed in one of that two files, the AKRPG detects the save type and adds it to the savelistex.bin.

I think the AK2 saves in the same way R4 saves, but I don't know exactly how this works. They just create a 4mbit (512KB) save. I guess this is the reason of problems in new games with AK2, while, with the AKRPG, the user can test the other save types.
I don't know why... Maybe the AK Team had the idea while designing the AK2.

Oh cool, figured it was just a compatibility update on the AK's part but if you already have it then that's excellent.

Anybody want to confirm whether trying to access the cheat menu for Final Fantasy IV (U) freezes up the RPG? That's the effect I'm getting right now when I wanted to check out what was available.

Normmatt, what about the "Using new engine from ak2 and it’s more stable."? It is new, isn't it?

From what i've been told, that change is a place holder, as in the only change in 410 was the DQ5 fix.

Well, does anyone have a greatly updated savelist/ex bin?

I will concede that those files in the RAR are old as hell.
A download option for them would be easy, as routines are there. the problem is this:

No central repository for them.

As far as SDHC errors? Can't help ya. No SDHC card here.

But you should always back up saves before upgrading, regardless. Especially if you've never used a custom loader.

dib- some cheats just don't work. Norm and I figure it has to do with the AK2/RPGs Arm7/Arm9 loaders and the values they write interfere with the code. If you can paste the codes that aren't working, Norm can take a look at it.

If you update the cheat DB...will the line above the word "WFC" just run down with no message at the end?

If you can't connect to your router... yep.
10 seconds to attempt connection.
There should be a "connect failed" thing, but prolly was commented out.
Oh well.

Oh well.

Then it seems my router sucks

Make sure your WFC settings are set up, since it uses those to connect (so run a NDS game that configures Wifi)

does it choose the first WFC slot? There are actually 3, so does it matter which connection is the right one?

Is the "__aio" folder any different than v1.0? Can we just replace the .nds file to upgrade?

I believe it just chooses the default one you've set.
The call to load up the WFC menu from the BIOS will be in the next release.. I believe it's in a wifi example from devkitPro.

As far as replacing... the english language.txt is updated as well, so that + the .nds file are really what you need.

still in tech support mode here for a bit... gave y'all an EST night to play with it

Theres some new strings in the language files, other than that i can't think of any other changes to the __aio folder

Everything seems to work well past that initial bump with saves and the index. What if we hosted the binaries here on gbatemp same as with the cheat files? Would you be able to access that over the wifi?

Version 1.1 freezes up for me (on an AK2) when accessing cheats from either menu (I have to turn off and back on at this point).

Downloading the cheat database freezes after 207Kb, although if I press the "B" button it allows me to cancel. But if I said "no" don't cancel at the confirmation screen, it then froze and wouldn't allow me to cancel again (I had to turn off and on to do anything else).

Accessing the cheat menu, period? It was doing that to me but only with FFIV. I'm using cheat.dat downloaded from here rather than the one provided in the archive so I would give that a shot.
