I just popped the reader into my ladys mac and it wont pick it up at all. It has not problems with my g6

So I was just wondering if it previously known that the ak2 reader does not work on macs.

My AceKard2 USB card reader isn't detected at all in my HP Vectra PC which has an Intel 82801AA USB Controller chip, but works fine in my other PC which has a VIA chipset.
I guess there may be one or two USB chipsets that the card reader just doesn't like.

i believe your sd card will work in any reader, so why not use the reader that works on your computer?

Hey Moots, I used my powerbook G4 just yesterday to set up an acekard 2 and it worked fine, no problems.

More like Mac not AK2 Compatible! XD

Anyway, everybody knows that card readers that come bundled with readers are crap, and sometimes they go to the extent of completely corrupting a card.

Just buy a nice new one

It's not the ak2, it's the microsd reader (as has been said)

as krazykirk meant to say, card readers that are bundled with flashcards are generally horrible.

also macs suck.

Why do you need to post that? Your not helping anyone. I hate it whenever I post something asking about a Mac I get ignorant idiots like yourself who don't help in any way and only come to say "Mac sux!!111"

I think it was a joke. According to the commercial "Mac" is the laid back one and "PC" the uptight one!
