100% compatible? Haha - try telling us that after you've tried games such as "Daigasso! Band Brothers DX" on AKRPG - won't run properly, unlike with most other flash cards (due to the new save size). I can see why the open source thing could be "slightly more fun" if you were a developer, but most people do not fit into that category. And more... such as?lafleche said:I didn't say the CycloDS is bad... I just think that it's overhyped as being the best card and that IF I just had given myself 2 hours more on the internet I probably wouldn't have bought it and would have bought the AceKard RPG as being
- really 100% compatible (with no slowdowns/freezing thanks to internal memory)
- slightly more fun because of the opensource thing
- and more....
While there is a lot of hype surrounding CycloDS, it still really is the best of the flash carts right now. The only real advantage that AKRPG has over it is the onboard flash, which is only really helpful with about 2 games from the thousands of NDS roms available. Also the open source stuff can be a double edged sword, because in the case of Acekard it seems as though the intention of the company was to release the source and then let the community develop the software while they sit back and collect the money. The Acekard team really should be working on features such as realtime save, Wii connectivity, ingame guide etc but I wouldn't hold your breath...
