For sd2vita users, you must add ux0:app/PSPEMUCFW/sce_module/adrenaline_kernel.skprx under ur0:tai/gamesd.skprx.

*KERNEL
ur0:tai/gamesdskprx
ux0:app/PSPEMUCFW/sce_module/adrenaline_kernel.skprx

Thats how i set mine up.
I want use Vita memory card with PSP games its mounted as uma0 but I installed adrenaline vpk on ux0 when I run the emu its opening fine and there is an option to select which location it will check for the games. My question is do I need a line in config.txt and which location will ISOs go ? thank you

you can change location by holding the PS button, and going into the options screen. I forgot what it's called, but you'll find it. there's a section to change between ux0 and uma0.

it's already fixed. you have to add this line to the config.txt:

Code:
ux0:app/PSPEMUCFW/sce_module/adrenaline_kernel.skprx

under the kernel section.
Code:
*KERNEL
ur0:tai/gamesd_ux0.skprx
# henkaku.skprx is hard-coded to load and is not listed here
ur0:tai/henkaku.suprx
ux0:app/PSPEMUCFW/sce_module/adrenaline_kernel.skprx
*main
# main is a special titleid for SceShell
ur0:tai/henkaku.suprx
ur0:tai/shellbat.suprx
*NPXS10015
# this is for modifying the version string
ur0:tai/henkaku.suprx
*NPXS10016
# this is for modifying the version string in settings widget
ur0:tai/henkaku.suprx
I used the sd2vita switch so my sd2vita is on ux0 now. Both my ur0 and ux0 configs match to this ^ though I tried changing it to ur0 as well. All of them still require the double boot.

You should only have one config.txt.

Yeah deleted the tai folder on ux0. Pointing my ur0 config at ux0 for adrenaline_kernal. Still no luck. Removed the shellbat line just to confirm it was looking at the right config. It is.

i believe it should be "gamesd.skprx" and not "gamesd_ux0.skprx". check your file name again.

my config.txt is

# This file is used as an alternative if ux0:tai/config.txt is not found.
# For users plugins, you must refresh taiHEN from HENkaku Settings for
# changes to take place.
# For kernel plugins, you must reboot for changes to take place.
*KERNEL
ur0:tai/gamesd.skprx
ur0:tai/nonpdrm.skprx
ur0:tai/vitabright.skprx
ux0:app/PSPEMUCFW/sce_module/adrenaline_kernel.skprx
# henkaku.skprx is hard-coded to load and is not listed here
*main
# main is a special titleid for SceShell
ur0:tai/henkaku.suprx
ur0:tai/de3.suprx
*NPXS10015
# this is for modifying the version string
ur0:tai/henkaku.suprx
*NPXS10016
# this is for modifying the version string in settings widget
ur0:tai/henkaku.suprx

gamesd_ux0.skprx is correct if you are using something like Switch SD2Vita to install. Make sure the file on your card matches that filename.

I used Switch SD2Vita too. The different file name is not a problem as long as both the file in the /tai folder and the filename in the config.txt match.

It's me again. Camera patch lite work very well and on top of that, we can add games manually but I have a problem : I need the games ID. So how can I know the ID of a psp game in .iso ? With a program maybe ?

Changing it to gamesd worked. Not sure why, since like someone else mentioned I'm using the vita switch method... Curious, what's your de3.suprx for?

You can just Google The game name and region to get the gameid. Or open the ico/cso with umdgen4.0

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
