Hacking Activate vitaTV without PS3 ?

Hi,

Is this now possible to activate a vitaTV without the need of a PS3 ?
With an activated vita ?
I've got a vita and a vitaTV, swaping memory card is working well but I can't play game on the vitaTV because of the activation ...

I will assume that your PSTV is not on a latest FW. You can use qCMA to transfer game from 3.61 Vita to PSTV

If Vita Update Blocker is still working, you can use that to activate normally over PSN.

Aside from that, you can only activate with a PS3.

I've got a similar problem, I can't activate my PSTV. When I try to connect to my PS3 it just tells me that I need to update the software. I guess I'm SOL until a FW spoofer becomes available?

That's because you aren't doing it properly...

1)Make sure to check the QCMA settings and that is set for the higher firmware possible.

2)Set up Vita update blocker and run it.

3) Connect to your PC to test it.

4)Connect to the PS3.

Thanks for that Tony. I was a little unsure about your instructions at first but I've got it all sorted now; PSTV is linked to my PSN and I can load my games no problem.

I've got a PSTV with 3.60 firmware and a PSVita with 3.60 firmware.

So I think in need a PS3 ...
