It has been a very long time since I last posted here. Mainly due to my DS lite being stolen. After 2 years I finally replaced it with a DSi XL and purchased an AceKard2i. I have installed the AKAIO 1.9.0 and the latest plugin and loader. My DSi's formware is 1.4U.

Lots work, but some of the ones I want to play the most are not. I can list the ones I am having issues with if that helps. I get a white screen when they load up. Can anyone help me out with this?

So far of the games tested these white screen:
Ghost Trick
9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors
Broken Sword Director's Cut
Clue Mousetrap Perfection Aggavation
Most game saves from my DS lite work too. Again, I am running 1.4U firmware.

for ghost trick I have tried both. is there some trick or setting I need to do? i tried to enable bypass AP but that didn't change anything.

I have also used multiple roms as well. Patched, Unpatched, and even the multi.

Finally! Got that to work. Took a patch from the DS Scene tools and turning all AP and Cheats off. Ugh. now onto 999. Thanks for your help.

Just an update: So I was able to get all but 1 game working. The main issue was that I had to disable cheats from the game's properties. Hope this helps anyone else who may have the same issues. Now time to figure out how to get my gba games working. time to search!

For DS Lite, the Cheat mode is disable by default, so, you did not need to take care of that in your old console. And then you don't know what to do with your DSi. Thanks for sharing your experience.

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
