Hacking Acekard 2i

Hi all!
I've been looking around and asking people and they tell me the Acekard 2i would be the best and cheapest flashcard available....is that true? I don't know much about flashcards yet so I figured I'd ask instead of buying it and then finding out that it's not that great.
Another thing was that if I buy it from Shoptemp with the MicroSD bundle + flashing service, do they include the MicroSD Adapter in it too or do I need to buy one separately?
That is pretty much all I need right now. Any help is appreciated, THANKS!

You may be able to find one for cheaper but I also got mine from ShopTemp and it works just fine. I'm satisfied with what I got. And yes, I got the same bundle and it does include an SD Adapter.

Do you have a DSi or a regular DS/DSL?

If you have a regular DS/DSL, I suggest the original R4 with the Wood firmware.

If you have a DSi, then go with either Acekard 2i or the DSTWO.

Lol, it's called the 2i for a reason. It's one of the only cards that works with the DSi, as far as I know. It should work fine with your DSi XL.

It only works if you flash your acekard with the 1.4 update... If you are using shoptemp remember to put in premium update service. Then you will get it pre-flashed and everything should work the way it's supposed to.

His point is that R4 users can't get past 2GB. With games increasing in size everyday, he's not going to be able to play what he wants.

Although the R4 w/ Wood Firmware is an exceptional card, Wood cannot make magic and get passed the hardware limitations of the original R4. Acekard 2i w/ AKAIO will better fulfill your needs.

How many DS games do you think will be released before the DS is phased out (in favor of the 3DS) that will be larger than 2GB? Hell, even larger than 512MB?

Who cares? Do you know how long it will take for the 3DS be hacked to its full potential? And its not like Nintendo is going to throw away the DS platform immediately, they'll have DS games for a while when the 3DS comes out. Most good games are pretty large and even when trimmed, you're not going to fit squat on a 2GB card. That's why Acekard is superior over the R4. Yes, Wood Firmware makes its exceptional but it can't spoof up a new card reader to accept MicroSDHCs.
