Hacking Acekard 2 to R4 game save issue

So I've been trying to convert my old Acekard saves to R4 saves but haven't had any luck. I first tried to just use the saves right from the AK but didn't work. Then I tried to convert them and that didn't work either. Can someone help me if possible? Also sorry if this is in the wrong area.

I'm 99.9999% sure they'll work as-is.
Just make sure they have the right extension; e.g. "Super Mario 64 DS.nds.sav" won't work if it's expecting "Super Mario 64 DS.sav".

I'll have to try and change it to the .nds.sav
The saves were all .sav

EDIT: So I just changed the extension and it didn't work. Maybe I did something wrong.

Might need to go into Wood's settings and tell it to look for .sav instead of .nds.sav, or the other way around.

I've already tried that and it still didn't work. I just don't want to start over. I have a lot of stuff from my old AK that I don't want to lose.
Any other suggestions for the saves?

Tried saves for multiple different games?
Sure it was AKAIO on the old one and Wood on the new one?
What are some example filenames?

Yeah it's AKAIO on the old one and wood on the new.
I'll use drawn to life as an example
1398 - Drawn To Life (U)(Xenophobia).sav
and the same but with .nds between .sav and the )

EDIT: Alright I fixed it. I just copied both types of extensions over and it started working.
