Hacking Acekard 2 or Acekard 2i?

I don't plan on ever using it on anything but a DSlite
Is there any reason for me to get a AK2i instead of a AK2?

You should buy the Acekard 2i card rather than the Acekard 2 if you have a NDS/DS Lite, because you don't have to replace it later if you update to a Nintendo DSi.

Acekard 2i is newer, and supports 3DS aswell. I don't think they even make Acekard 2's anymore?
