This is rather cool. Have you gotten to programming any of the game mechanics?
not counting farmer appearance customizations, i am working on inventory ui and item quality ^^ i have to remake a lot of the ui to work with the smaller screens of a 3ds, and theres no need to worry about fonts as i have converted them from json to bitmap (including other languages, but i still need to patch the chinese fonts)

Hey there! How’s the progress for the Stardew Valley port for 3DS going? I’m actually really excited; it’ll be my first time playing Stardew valley 🤣 It must be a very complicated but fun project! How much longer until it’s completed?

You will logically, still have to acquire legally Stardew Valley to play this recreation if it aims to be a full 1:1 copy.

Have you considered that the Android version is already complete and available for a low price..?
I would really like to play on a portable console, with full physical controls, and the 3DS is the most portable console I have.

Would getting the mobile game suffice do you think? Or do I have to purchase it on Steam or something?

It's probably going to be a very long time before this 3DS version is complete with all the features of the Android version. You can probably run it on any cheap old phone (or even a tablet) and even plug in a gamepad if you want physical controls.

You'll probably have to wait until the game is finished before you can answer that question.
