ROM Hack AC:NL Island acre texture missing?

As grateful as I am for the island acres being available to put in the main town area, I can't help but feel like maybe something could be done to add the dirt texture on the side between where the grass and sand meet? If nothing can be done, it'd still be nice to know why it isn't possible to fix

Daytime pic shows the regular texture as it would normally be, night time pic shows what happens when you put an island acre into your town. Pics are not mine I just found what I could use as examples.

For one that texture isn't supposed to be feature in the town so that's why there is a void. Not sure how to fix the texture without extracting and decrypting the game and manually rom hacking it yourself. Sorry I'm not much of help but if it's not supposed to be there then of course it's going to have some bugs in it.
