emunand_original, emunand_downgraded, emunand_downgraded/unbricked
It's so the newer people don't mix it up and try to restore the wrong emunand, if you have confidence that you won't be one of the few feel free to forgo this.

I'm someone who like to have systems or at least backups of systems as "clean" as possible meaning the first thing i will do once i turned on my 3ds for the first time is a backup(3 time to be sure one isn't corupted(it hapênned once with my previous 3ds, i made 3 backup and then saw than the first was corupted because of the two others)

As already mentioned, you will not be making a backup unless you hardmod first. You have to be on 9.2 or lower to use homebrew to make the backup. So you will need to downgrade first, which will in turn make your "nand dirty" as you say it and your cleanliness is totally gone. Don't be a fool.

He's getting it in the box, I don't think it'll be on ver 11.0. A hardmod won't be needed.

The best would be it to be 9.2 out of the box
then I would be completly satisfied with my "clean backup" xD
but whatever, working backup, good backup ^^

Chances are it'll be 9.8-10.4. You'll need a homebrew exploit, cubicninja, there are work arounds to use browser hax. When you get to homebrew menu you can downgrade. Make absolutely sure you DO NOT update unless told to by that guide, only way to get out of 11.0 is hardmod. It'll probably take several tries. The notion of keeping your files clean is novel but you'll be modifying a great many things on your road to glory.

In fact I already had a new 3ds last year but someone stole it in the "pasta" era
so i kinda know how it work though a9lh and luma is new for me
Btw the one who stole it took cubic ninja which was in the console at the time ^^"

That really sucks, sorry for the misfortune. Yeah you didn't sound too new. a9lh is super reliable and Luma has all the patches you could need and pairs really well with a9lh.

I think i will just stick to the tutorial
Btw will be a part of the one who tries to find new exploits ^^ (a dev speaking)
though can't know if I will find ones before others xD

Good luck, if you're gonna dev the brick protection will be a handy thing to have~

Well what i would like the most for the moment is some 11.0 entry point just to kick that superman's stability xD

There are a few floating exploits that allow HB menu to be launched but as for downgrading? That's gone, other then hardmodding, hardcoded list is a wonderful thing to have. :glare:

A good thing would be to find an unpatchable exploit ^^
I think anything in software can be fixed, we know an awful lot about the 3ds and how it works, plus we have nearly unrestricted access... Still, nintendon't can always try to throw a wrench in our plans.

Yeah but i mean a flaw "deep" enough to be too hard to patch without changing everything, just look at windows today, it is a real colander xD
