Hacking A9LH Clarification Question

So basically I have a backup of my emunand although on my n3ds my emunand has been bricking alot so I am scared to flash it. It bricked twice at the same spot after the second time I formatted and it also bricked after the second time I formatted when I was getting something with fbi? Do you think It's still safe or anything?

it bricked twice in a row after formatting twice and setting the time on setup and it bricked again after clicking home menu after installing something with fbi AFTER the two formats and it bricks by saying an error has occured please turn off the power at least I believe they were bricks

I believe I might of been able to re access I can't fully remember on some of the times but anyway do you think it's still safe and even if it was a brick that it's normal to get these errors

It's a bit difficult to help without more information. Have you been playing around with your NAND recently? Were you following a particular guide when hacking your system, and did you complete the entire guide or did you get stuck somewhere? When was the last time you remember it working properly? What are you trying to achieve with FBI, or are you trying to get FBI itself? Did you just downgrade and, if so, did you also verify that your downgrade was proper?

Please try to be as specific as you can so I can get a better understanding of your situation!

I'll answer these questions no problem no I have not been playing with my nand it just has a few games and other cias with a custom background (I did also patch my twl firm but am not at the part where he says to remove the patch) im following plialects guide and when previously getting my emunand and stuff it was a long time ago so I can't remember but everything went fine and no i didn't get stuck on neither it's always been working properly except these errors after formatting I'm trying to use the injected fbi to format and patch the twl and also get plaisysupdater as mentioned in the guide I've downgraded like I said a while ago and it's fine

The biggest thing that sticks out to me is the fact you patched your TWL_FIRM. Was that on SysNand or EmuNand? I would suggest performing a PlaiSysUpdater EmuNand 10.7 Update, to get your EmuNAND as clean as possible before following the rest of the guide's Part 4 preparation.

EDIT: Or, if you're not already on 10.7 EmuNand, just update to 10.7 EmuNand using EmuNand's system settings

Lol gateways a waste of money and way too expensive so no and I drag and dropped the Luma folder from the zip so if the zip(non dev) had one I have one

I think you should un-patch TWL_FIRM by re-updating to 10.7 using PlaiSysUpdater. After you manage to do that, format your system twice like the guide recommends, and that should put you back in with the rest of the guide's steps.

Just make sure you have a backup of your SD card and EmuNand.bin before you format/update anything.

SysUpdater won't update/downgrade without the needed .cia files, so no, it doesn't have a straightfoward way to update.

And also, beyond the TWL_FIRM thing, you should be good with the sysNAND. But just in case, i recommend to have a CLEAN sysNAND before going to A9LH. (No special apps on it)

You can keep WarioWare as a channel, but you won't be able to run it until you're completely done. (Luma3DS automatically patches TWL_FIRM for you)

However, you don't actually have to do a 10.7 update if you get yourself 0004013820000102.cia, version 9936 and install it by putting the .cia in the SD:/updates/ folder (make sure it's the only file in there!) and press A to flash it to your NAND in PlaiSysUpdater. (If that doesn't work, manually install it to NAND with FBI)
