I have done 10+ consoles on the older guides and 5 so far from the new guide. Tbh, I cannot see anyone getting bricked, especially on the new guide, unless you cannot follow written instructions at all or are completely paranoid.

No excuse at all to not do it, as it's far superior in many ways over the old menuhax days.

I've installed to 6 3ds consoles, the latest being a n3ds from 11.0 using dsiware downgrade. No bricks. As long as you make sure to carefully read each step you should be fine. And the new process makes it even simpler and safer

Edit: For clarification, I did 3 o3ds on the old guide, 2 o3ds on the new guide, and a n3ds dsiware downgraded from 11.0 then hacked with the new guide. No issues, not even a softbrick.

Ive done over 100 consoles now, ( hardmod ). Id say at least 25 of them were brick fixes. None of you have done enough to accurately say what can and cant cause a brick. It all comes down to the following.

1. Bad sd card.

2. Old software, not using latest checks ( sysupdater ).

3. Youtube tutorials.

4. 3ds hardware fault.

5. Murpheys law.

You can follow the tutorial 1000x you can still brick, why do i say this? Because I too have bricked on occasion. Shit happens.

No, seriously, Plailect tells you pretty much every single little thing you need to do. The only way he could make it easier is if he came over to your house and installed it personally.

There is nothing confusing about it, possibly a language barrier.

You asked for how to use Cubic Ninja on 2.1 and Plailect already have it covered (although on the old version of the guide)

How can you say that one thing doesn't work, only because you can't or don't try to understand/follow simple instructions.

The fórum is full with people that were able to install it. (my countdown is 1 N3DSXL and 4 2DS with 0 brick in the OLD guide)

So, maybe you should just skip this entirely and pay to someone to do it for you. Or not.
Your call...

The version that can boot without the SD card is still experimental and won't be included with the guide until it's stable.

I succeed. Always. I done about six A9LH installs, Two where I had to compile the installer against obtained OTP and files needed (so, very first "easy" iteration of Install) - done it for both N3DS (that being my own) and O3DS (That being my own at the time I did it)

I also did the Easy way before CTRtransfer magic few times for few friends, N3DS and O3DS systems alike. Bricked no systems. I kept joking to guys "oh no I bricked it"

I felt like an asshole when I booted the console without SD card in front of my friend and said "oh man it is bricked..." but then again I wanted him to feel like I felt when I installed my own A9LH for the first time I guess.

You are late to create this because A9LH came out a while back...WHILE BACK..

No, I had it installed, but due to some clumsy mistakes, I bricked it. I was a bit shaken up afterwards to reinstall a9lh, but I couldn't stand menuhax's yellow screen anymore. so I created this thread to see how many people succeeded with the new guide to see how safe it is.

I just recently picked up a n64 from a garage sell, and looking to mod it and add a HDMI port to it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3548173115...044&customid=4f3038da73b61afddf7e5e90f4153856

I'd like to find a power strip and HDMI selector built in 1 unit, so I can select which game system I want, and will switch to that hdmi, and power on that plug/power supply only, so don't have all game systems powered all the time, but can't find anything like. May just have to make something myself.

Maybe start a kick starter page and sell them, yea right. Big N would prob C&D me, not anything Big N related, but just because that's what they do nowdays. Then come out with they own in a year or so.

    @SylverReZ, cuz of lag?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, No. Whenever you use the internet on Windows, Microsoft collects personal data and installs bloatware that isn't necessarily needed, such as Edge.

I recall @impeeza mentioned some trick about not having bloatware when installing windows where you set up your country to "world" or smh like that

Yes, you can debloat the operating system, but in some cases for me it just reinstalls them.

  • impeeza @ impeeza:
@Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.
