Just in time for the close of the NEO Coding Compo, Soulanger has released the media player from his firmware application known as "Men-u-do." Please see the spoiler below for a list of supported formats.

All Soul needs to add to this for me to completely love it is MP3 and possibly WMA compatibility. Once that's added, I'm sold.

EDIT: Wait, that's the screenshot that Soul asked me to provide for the app!

Or is it just one that's very similar...?

Well, like the others said...add some Formats which the people have heard from (AAC, MP3, WMA, etc.

), and then it's good work...love the Top Screen with the Moving Bubbles/Glows, and the Design is also pretty nice. Sadly, that's all I saw, I lost my Flashcard, and had to use an Emulator...

What's still my dream: A more complex Player, which can show Album Art, etc...I swear if I could code, I would do it...-.-. Anyone knows a good book to start

Thank you soulanger for finally posting up some of your work! If you are to add some mp3 and other more recognized format support then I believe this could definitely end up being one of the best media players out there!

Did you try it?

Make sure you use the ds and play a song. The visualizer is nifty, IMO. :3

For an unfinished product, I have to say it's nicer than I thought (found my Flashcard

). Very nice handling (I love to slide around with the Stylus

), and now I see that the Bubbles pulse, and the background on the touchscreen "moves" too..awesome work!!! Simple, but realy, realy nice. I likey ;D. I would even say (if you don't look at the supported fileformats , and only compare the Music Player) that it's as good as Moonshell, when not better (Design FTW!). Keep it going, nice to hear (or better see) from you again
