How do you update the payload?

if it´s like the trinket m0 after you booted into Horizon you can use the orignal usb C prot from switch (on trinket you need to push the button twice) than you see the drive in windows.

yes ,by the type-C . shutdown the switch , pull in the type-C to PC, Ues the magnet near the magnetic switch (twice at one second)

Why? Permanent 5v is now obsolete. Not required.

If anyone is planning on installing a SAMD-based chip, you can now modify its bootloader via UF2 file. This allows you to not use permanent power and not use autoRCM.

Well... I don`t know the pinouts / bootloader of this particular chip yet. But I can support either.

This uses a SAMD21G18 rather than the E18 of the trinket. (same shit, different amount of pins)

Why would you use a switch? What for? Absolutely no need to use a switch for anything.

Rather than butcher a switch in there, run a wire to a screw. Ground the screw twice to enter bootloader. Once in a blue moon you need to update it.

Of course you can, you only need to ground pin 10, any kind of switch will do, I personally used a reed switch and didn't have any problems.

@jcrorxp i was wondering how to install the chip with 6 wire configuration (also with vol+ wire)
i'd like to use it in mode1 with auto cwf (sx os+emunand) at power up, ofw only if power+vol+ is pressed. Is it possible?

i've just got the chip today and the installation went flawlessly.
like i've asked before:
some1 knows how to force the chip to load cfw at boot (without rcm)? the installation pic doesn't have the vol+ strip so i don't know how to do it.
@jcrorxp do yo have any clues?

the "standard" installation has the d0 pad with joycon strap, and no vol+,
in your pic the vol+ uses the d0 pad and the joycon strap needs to be moved to d3.
can i do the opposite? or is better to follow the pic?
am i good to go for a test or the switch will blow up if i try?
