Hacking A little confused about 3DS nand/emunand

I'm a little confused with all these threads about 3ds hacking
So here's the deal :

I'm thinking of buying a 3ds 4.0.2.5 with emunand 10.3 ?

What do you think of it ? I thought i need a linker to run 3ds roms or i just have to put the rom in the SD card ?

And what about future games will they work in this version or not ?

Any new in box 2DS/3DS/3DSXL (Not the N3DS/XL) will be below 9.2 besides the Yokai Watch bundle you can setup rxTools https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-installing-rxtools-custom-firmware-3ds-and-2ds.390867/ to play games,emulators,homebrew, and use custom themes, get a 64GB sd card for the console. If it's cheaper to buy that hacked one already get it and a new sd card format everything and setup rxTools with the tutorial I linked.

Now that i have a cfw 3ds i wanted to know which file i can delete without losing the cfw data because Nintendo 3ds folder for example takes 1.18 gb

you should be able to delete the CIA files. don't delete anything else.

Don't delete the Nintendo 3DS folder --- that would be like deleting your Program Files folder on a PC.

You need to uninstall it using your cia installer. The actual cia file doesn't do anything after it's been installed - just takes up space

cia is something like setup.exe in windows.

yes. once installed you can delete the cia.

I find it easier to just go to system settings to uninstall games/dlc

I tried to change the memory card with a another great capacity one.
I did copy paste all CFW folders but the 3ds didn't recognize it. What is the problem here ?

Did you backup and restore your Emunand partition on the new SD card with https://gbatemp.net/threads/emunand-tool-release-and-support-thread.359239/ format the new card in the gateway menu and restore your Emunand backup to the newly formated card and restore your files/folders.

You don't need a flash card to format Emunand you can use the HBL cia and load Gateways Launcher through it now or you can boot into HBL how you normally would.

Is there some steps to follow i am a total noob here i got the 3ds already hacked but with a 2gb memory card which is pretty inconvenient.
