Hacking 8Gb on a R4

Hey I've had an R4 for quite a while now with a nice 2Gb card, however as my brother and girlfriend have been looking for DS's I've went and got myself and brother an Acekard with the intention of giving my girlfriend my old R4. I've also ended up getting 4x8Gb cards and have been trying to get a 8Gb to work in the R4 with no sucess. Is this possible?

On a real R4 no....... best bet is to buy a cyclo......

No R4 supports microSDHCs so a 2GB microSD is the biggest microSD storage you'll ever be able to use with a R4.

Man that sucks majorly! I'm good without a cyclo as I have Acekards.... just as well I didn't get that 4Gb card a few months ago then....

I'm assuming then this is a problem with the R4 hardware rather than software?

but it is hardware. since there's a difference between SD and SDHC
