I never said it did. Read the post carefully. The post relates to installing AutoRCM.Deja Vu doesn't rely on RCM.

Yeah, that's what I thought. So how is that related to 8.0?Patched switch + autorcm = brick
unpatched + autorcm = Fine
Dejavu = webexploit
the bricking is happening on 8.0 from what I can tell. don't quote me on that. just going on info I've seen from sciresYeah, that's what I thought. So how is that related to 8.0?
The question is, why even install autorcm on a patched switch which isn't even vulnerable through rcm and that raises yet another question, how would you even get it into autorcm in the first place?the bricking is happening on 8.0 from what I can tell. don't quote me on that. just going on info I've seen from scires

8.0 completely patched the Deja Vu exploit, so the devs released the documentation on it. Soon people with patched Switches will be able to run CFW. Which also means that people with patched Switches will be able to install AutoRCM. With the amount of people who can't even successfully copy files to the correct location on their SD card, I wouldn't count on them realizing that installing AutoRCM on their patched Switch will brick it.Yeah, that's what I thought. See above; people are dumb. One way that you can install AutoRCM on a patched Switch is ChoidujourNX.The question is, why even install autorcm on a patched switch which isn't even vulnerable through rcm and that raises yet another question, how would you even get it into autorcm in the first place?
Ah, now I see. So autorcm is basically completely useless for patched units, but people could be able to do it if they wanted to, even if it made no sense. Well, then it's maybe in the hands of the homebrew programmers to implement safety measures, as in - patched unit recognized (if that's possible), autorcm not available. Won't happen with Choi though since Raj abandoned it8.0 completely patched the Deja Vu exploit, so the devs released the documentation on it. even Ipatched switches are able to run HB now??a unit which has the RCM bug (fusee gelee) patched
even Ipatched switches are able to run HB now??
I could have sworn the OP said the brick happened by installing AutoRCM on patched 8.0 consoles, which you wouldn't even be able to do.8.0 completely patched the Deja Vu exploit, so the devs released the documentation on it. You're misunderstanding. It's confusing because people are talking like it's currently possible. It's not, but Deja Vu will be released soon which will allow people to run CFW on patched Switches, which in turn will allow people to install AutoRCM on them (using ChoidujourNX for example). Which in turn will brick them.I could have sworn the OP said the brick happened by installing AutoRCM on patched 8.0 consoles, which you wouldn't even be able to do.
Well, I guess we should have expected this to get patched, after part of the exploit chain was leaked in a Hekate update. I'm only surprised it took this long.
Does this mean sept won't work on 8.0?
Sept relies on exploits, I'm just not sure if it relies on the same exploits as Deja Vu. If it isn't patched yet, it's just a matter of time. You're misunderstanding. The exploit being patched has no affect on consoles that are able to enter RCM and push payloads. Once Atmosphere is updated to support 8.0, fusee/sept will work normally. And you can continue using AutoRCM on these consoles.
Deja Vu is a software exploit, Sept relies on a hardware exploit.Sept relies on exploits, I'm just not sure if it relies on the same exploits as Deja Vu. If it isn't patched yet, it's just a matter of time.
I assume people will install autoRCM thinking it will allow them to push payloads like unpatched units.I don't understand the ipatched brick warning..
why people would want to install autorcm on a console that can't boot on rcm mode?
even if they would, how they install autorcm?!
Can you take a screenshot of your Hekate plz?
how did you measure it?
OMG that video!! you're using a video device in portrait mode to record a video device in landscape mode, which most people will watch on a device in landscape mode.
