The latest N64 flash cart
64driveprotopub.jpg

The newest Nintendo 64 flash cartridge is nearing release. Here is the official web site for the product. It has an estimated MSRP of $199 and no current ETA is available. Keep on lookout for this upcoming product. It has potential to be the ultimate Nintendo 64 flash cart solution with both the flash RAM and card reader built in. There will be no need to purchase other accessories besides one original Nintendo 64 cartridge to plug in and use its CIC protection chip and the CompactFlash memory card. It is recommended that the N64 cartridge, used as a hardware key, to have a 6105 CIC chip on its circuit board for full compatibility with the entire N64 library of games and homebrew.[/p]

But I'm pretty sure I'd still need the expansion pack for the control deck, which I can't find anymore.
Still looks like it'll do great.

This would save you some coin over the NeoFlash product. Hopefully this CF card has a nice menu. It has potential on that as well because the guy who is making this 64drive also can code some pretty decent N64 demos.

Reading the feature list and such... this actually does look pretty damn awesome.

EDIT: For those of you wondering about CF, it's not nearly as expensive as you may think a 2GB one is $10 on newegg (though of course higher-capacity ones are more expensive disproportionately).
Yeah and four gig costs 12 dollars. Hopefully the four gig will work on this because I'm getting one if they ship to australia.

Sure looks better than the Neoflash model, aesthetically at least. I don't like that they use a GBA cart as a proprietary storage medium.

Even though this'll have a CF card poking out the top, it'll look that bit more authentic. Looks awesome - expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Well if you live in Europe you will find out how expensive cf memory cards are...

At least technology has improved a lot since the early days of devices like Z64. I should get this, but I have most of games I love, including goldeneye 007, Star Fox 64 & perfect dark on cartridge.

Wonder if this device will get cheaper...
