Download the relevant package from here: http://code.google.com/p/procfw/downloads/list for your firmware and run "PRO Update". Then use "FastRecovery" to boot it. You cannot have permanent on 6.35.

EDIT: The only way to get permanent CFW is downgrade to 6.20 and use 6.20 PRO with the perma patch, which you may be able to do using this: http://wololo.net/talk/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=6403, depending on the motherboard in your PSP. If it came with 6.20 or below, it will be able to downgrade. The downgrader will tell you whether or not it can be downgraded when you run it. You shouldn't lose any features by downgrading, but be warned that there is a risk involved in both the downgrade and the perma patch.

thats for updating to 6.39 pro-b6? i can do that from 6.35? Damn long time ago i touched my psp go. oh and the fast recovery is 10 seconds to boot, so permanent is not really needed

If you have a PSP Go, you might as well downgrade and install 6.20 PRO-B6 permanent.

nah i think 6.39 has more features then 6.20?
No? It has the same features, only 6.20 is permanent.

i was talking about the OFW 6.39 that it more features and fixes then 6.20

Thanks Rydian. That seemed to work. On another note, has anyone tried using CheatMaster Fusion on 6.20 PRO? I've enabled the plugin and as far as I know configured it correctly, but the cheat menu won't load in-game.I'm using CMF and it's worked on 6.20 PRO-B5 and B6. Do note that it needs the CheatMaster or whatever folder in the root, not the seplugins folder. Some plugins are like that, static directories and all that jazz.

Yeah, I have the main CheatMaster folder in the root of my memory stick. My game.txt also has the line ms0:/CheatMaster/CheatMaster.prx 1, so it should be pointing to the prx file correctly. Still not able to open up the cheat menu in-game. I've tried different buttons including holding select, note button, brightness button, start, etc. Nothing works. Could anyone possibly link me the exact file setup they have in their MS so I can copy it to mine and try it that way? It's possible I'm missing something. If you could include the CheatMaster folder as well as your seplugins folder, I'd really appreciate it.
As I never used CheatMaster Fusion, I'm not really sure if I'm correct, but I'll try my best. I downloaded CMF R21c and I see that you also need the following code in your vsh.txt as well. Have you tried doing this?
CODE
ms0:/CheatMaster/CheatMaster.prx 1

Yeah, I have that in my vsh.txt as well. Idk what the problem is. Were you able to get CMF to run correctly?

B7 official is out.
Yes, the official B7 is out
Greetings Everybody!

It's about time we move this out of the Genesis Submission Subforum.
Especially with the upcoming end of the Genesis Competition Vote, this new topic shall bring you guys salvation.

As several of you noticed already, PRO-B7 has been released a few minutes ago.

At this point I wanna thank all the new Team PRO members, not only but also including neur0n for deciding to join our cause, it is a lot merrier and of course easier to produce something nice for the people if we all collaborate on it together.

A few other guys out there sure could learn from this big scene collaboration, as it's proof that big things can be achieved a lot easier if people just work together instead of waging war against each other.

A long story short... heres the changelog for PRO-B7.

[!] Fixed NODRM Engine (DDF012 DLC Costume Bug)
[!] Improved Inferno Game Compatiblity (GTA China Town, Corda2f, etc.)
[!] Updated scePower_driver NID Resolver
[!] Added Configuration Reset on PRO Update
[!] Added DA psp-packed user module support
[+] Added UMD VIDEO / GAME XMB Mount Feature (No UMD required, allows for Game Updates)
[+] Added Custom IPL Flasher for 6.39 PRO (1g, 2g hackable mainboard permaflash)
[+] Added non latin1 ISO filename support
[+] Added memory stick speedup option
[+] Added ISO cache option (available in Inferno and NP9660)

As always, you can grab the code over at our Google Project Page.

Wow! The memory stick speedup option is AMAZING! It runs even faster than good ol' fat ms mod on my old PSP. DJ Max has never run smoother and had such short loading times.

(You have to enable it manually in the Recovery, by the way).

Where's the option to enable the ISO Cache feature?

EDIT: As soon as I post this, I find it.

For those of you who are looking, go to the Recovery Menu and go to Advanced. I changed Memory Stick Speedup to Always, and Inferno & NP9660 Use ISO Cache to Enabled. I wouldn't mess with the ISO Cache options unless you know what you're doing.

Remind me what the process of updating was if I'm running 6.20 PRO-B6 permanent.
Run Perm patch to uninstall, run B6 installer to uninstall, run B7 to install, run Perma Patch to install ?
That's good except you should move your seplugins folder to your HDD to be safe.

I'm not even sure that you even need to uninstall the temp version's modifications prior to an update (you do need to undo the perm patch though).

One thing the PRO team could learn from Dark Alex is actually writing thorough documentation...their Wiki at the moment is lacking a lot of content.

Is it just me?

I was able to uninstall B6 without uninstalling the perm patch first.

everything is running fine, and I glad I didn't brick my PSP, but..wtf??

edit:
game catagory is still slow
