I don't believe there are any guarantees that it will always work. If Nintendo upgrade TSEC in the next firmware then they can make it harder to extract the new key.

In which world? Even Wii and DS have had several hardware revisions, OS updates, and anti-piracy methods in games.

Just wait until your cfw of choice updates to support 6.2.0 and when they give you the ok to update.
