There isn't a definitive answer (only 5.0X exploit holders know) but chances are 99% they are compatible. Like 4.05 dumps being compatible with 4.55 Firmware.

Seems like a homebrew platform for 5.01 was just released - no kexploit yet though and the platform still has yet to be ported to 5.05. I guess this means that the kexploit is being released really soon.

From what I've read, it's not going to be a full CFW like we had on the PS3 as it's not a permanent CFW as it has to be re-enabled after every rebiit.

I don't know how it's going to differ from the current 4.05/4.55 method, but sounds like it could offer more options for better homebrew support.
