If you can connect to your router through its IP address in the web browser (ie 192.168.2.1 or w/e). Whether or not the 3DS says Online shouldn't matter.
You must have internet access on the router to install CIA applications using ctrclient, otherwise the 3DS will crash (it probably looks for nintendo's connection test page)

how do i get the LAN IP address from my 3ds?
Edit: I am connecting my 3ds to my router. And my pc is also connected to my router. Can I just use the ip address that appears on my pc?

this ip address thing is the only things that is confusing me honestly here.

I have problems, after I restored the nand.bin the sd is unreadable and i cant copy the binary file on it, how can i resolve it?

For some reason I can't get the CFW to boot when I hold L. It boots fine with I don't hold it however. Am I missing something?

The process running in the background when booting pressing L button is very unstable and conflicts with a lot of normal programs.

After a lot of experiments on two different 3DS, I found to be a little more lucky disabling spottpass and launching the exploit with wifi disabled.

After booted in CFW I turn on WIFI (without touching anything else) and wait for the connection to the router monitoring it with Wirelwss Nwtwork Wartcher.

Can someone make this process a bit more simpler? I cant seem to find the id0 and id1 folders on my sd card....and I have no idea how ot create the two needed files...

Could someone lend me a hand please?

I am stuck at this part:
"On your SD card navigate to "sdmc:/Nintendo 3DS/<id0>/<id1>/dbs/". Create two files in this folder named title.db and import.db . Put the SD card back in your 3ds and go to System Settings, and attempt to manage the SD software. Let the 3DS do its repair process."

I completed the previous steps just fine. I dont see a id0 or id1 folder and I have no idea how to create those two files.

These two folders should look like random numbers, from what I understand they're IDs. (hence ID0 and ID1) one of them is half an SHA256. After those two folders there should be a folder named "extdata" create a separate folder named "dbs" and inside create a file (use notepad to "save as") named import.db and a file named title.db.

Guys I tryed everything with my connection but I can't get ctrclient to connect!

I open the CFW and I open run.bat then my 3DS wireless blink twice. Right the way it gives "can't connect", if I do that with the wrong IP for exemple it takes a wile to get to "can't connect". So I think the CFW is doing something...

What should I try?

OBS: 3DS Ver. 4.4.0-1OU

I'm not going to ask yoy if you launch the exploit with L key pressed.

Apart this, do you monitor the wireless connection with Wireless Network Wartcher? Execute run.bat only when your connection is confirmed to be active.

Yes I always launch it with L. And I watch my router to see my 3DS IP and if it is connected .

I setup a new connection with another router to try , but when i launch the CFW it will connect to my old connection , how to change the connection of the CFW ?

how to change the connection of the CFW ?

If sysnand and cfw are note separated, you can set the new connection in sysnand, oterwise set it in cfw booting without the L key preseend.

Don't stop trying.

I spent a whole day trying to connect with a wifi hosted connection on win7 (PC acting as a router, but without Internet connection).

My 3ds connected properly in sysnand e in standard CFW mode, but can't connect booting with L key pressed.

Then I tryed with my home router and everything went ok.

Someone said that it needs working Internet connection (only LAN is not enough?) but I dont know if this is true. Could be some difference in the lan booting sequence, not all supported.

Yeah, when you boot it holding L it needs direct access to the internet. I tried using a hosted wireless network from my PC and it didn't work either. A router must be used if you want to install things with ctrclient.

Could you possibly tell me how I get the Ip of my 3ds please? I dont know how to get it...it says auto obtain ip instead of actually displaying something.

I do know my ip addres that my computer uses though if that helps.

Guys I just solved my problem and instaled devmenu.

I opened the CFW without L and configured the 3DS to a new wifi without any security reset CFW with L, connected my PC to the same wifi and worked!

I just tried it and got the same result. I also tried disabling spotpass from the CFW it's self. I guess I'm SOL.
